I also saw them in July (or was that August) 1968 at Steve Paul's The Scene and I saw them do Meddle at Hunter College and on and on. No photos as I was cruising at about 40,000 feet along with my friendsĭon't mean to brag but their early shows were always 'mind melding'. I saw them twice at the Fillmore - in March '70 doing Umagumma and in October (I think) also in '70. Moreover it was only the only concerts that DIDN'T have a light show behind them! Probably because the audiences were on LSD or some other psychedelic drug and the PF figured that was the light show. What also was very unusual was that the PF only performed at the Fillmore on SUNDAYS which except for Virgil Fox was the only group to do that. and I was at the East sitting in the 7th row dead center thanks to a friend who worked at the Fillmore. The second half of the show was AHM with an orchestra!! They only performed AHM with an orchestra at the Fillmore East and West!. They performed many of their 'hits' in the first part of the performance including all those 'furry creatures' running all around your head and imagine that on LSD You shoulda' seen them in concert performing AHM - it was in very surround/surreal sound with speakers lining all the walls and the front of the balcony and the rear of the orchestra at the Fillmore East!
